Smith & Holiday’s Goody Bags were born on the island of St. Marten. Sitting on the deck of Dinghy Dock Bar, Austinite Adrienne Goodwin watched the international crowd slink to and from their yachting adventures, restocking their eye-catching market shoppers and beach bags. This day of people watching led the aspiring entrepreneur to an important revelation - the American “green bag” movement needed a serious upgrade. Vowing to create a quality carryall that would truly carry it all and provide a shopper-savvy, giftable alternative to the others, Goody Bags was launched.
In an effort to give back to the community that has given so much to her, Adrienne also decided Goody Bags needed to support a good cause. 5% of proceeds fund Restock the Goody Bag campaign which benefits the Capital Area Food Bank where every $1 provides $5 of food for fellow Austinites in need.
Goody Bags have grown to be every busy girl’s staple item. Fashioned of jute, trimmed with cushioned, soft cotton handles and the original Red Pops design, these bags are tough as they are sweet. They are the perfect pick to tote your market goods, sporting gear, travel essentials, or your best friend’s birthday gift. Their preppy, classic charm and laminated interior will allow you to dirty them up at the beach, wipe them clean, and then dress them up. Goody Bags make for smile-inducing gifts a la carte or loaded with goodies.
Goody Bags are available at Atown for $19.95
